I haven't seen one of these come up before, it's only listed by coppercoins and their example is very low grade. I can only assume it is fairly rare being so few examples pictured online and it being an earlier-dated Wheat cent DD.

http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mds

Just bought an AU example on ebay for $9 plus shipping.

Typical Class VI extra thickness on the date, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the bottom of the bust.

Listed it as CRDO-003: http://crdievarieties.com/doku.php?...9271ccrdo003

How'd I do? Thoughts? Opinions?

Very nice pick! Looks fairly rare from what I've read.

Sweet. If you could take images of a normal coin with the same side by sides with your images, it will show off the variety even better.
I thought I had images of this one, but the set I have is of the 1927 DDO-001. (but no side by sides) Try using some images off PCGS and make these. They look cool to see them compared with a normal coin.

You can definitely see that extra thickness especially in The 7. Again, very nice!

That's a dandy find! I'm not sure if its rare or no one really knows to look for it as not listed on VV. That said, I would lean toward it being rare as it's not something I've seen many of anywhere.

Congrats! I really like this die.
I had the opportunity to photograph an uncirculated example for a friend. Some of those pics were posted in this thread

I have a nice circulated example from a bag of wheats but never took pics of it.
