1970-S-LMC-Small-Date-DDO....from-Circulation.

The date displays doubling for sure but the "IN GOD W TRUST" doesn't seem to be as prominent relative to what I have seen online for this variety. I don't have what I think I have do I? And thanks for checking my post out.

to CCF. Looks like a large date but need close up pics.

This is a large date, not a small date, and pics are way too blurry to tell if it's a DDO. Please post clearer pics of the obverse and reverse.

It may not matter in this case, but it is a good idea not to handle your coins like this. Fingerprints destroys value. No need to hold up your coins, just lay them flat and take photos looking down.

Nice quality, well cropped photo, we just need close-ups of the date, and fyi, it helps to always show both sides of your coin.

to the CCF!

Best way to tell is on the center of the '9'.

They are two different year/mint varieties for that year. ODV-025, 026.

No problem sort about that, but the 9 hooks back and point towards the 7 not at the base of the 7 here is another one I need to get a better camera.

Send it to PCGS because it is a small date or because it is a DDO? We need better photos to tell for sure.I just checked http://coppercoins.com/diesearch.ph...pe=do&page=0 and none of them justify sending your coin in at the grade your coin seems to be in if it is indeed a DDO and or a small date,IMHO.

Even at a higher grade AU-BR: What would it be worth?

Normal large date normal. Note the PCGS value. $1.00 I find it hard to have to pay grading fees of near $50, for a low grade coin certified?

Yikes, I would choose a new coin shop then, because that coin is worth no more than maybe 2 cents of copper.

Switch coin shops - horrible advice. A coin dealer should not be telling people to waste money.

Coin shops are there to sell coins. We look at a coin a lot closer than they do.
They guess, we know what to look for on coins.
What they don't see on a coin, I buy, because they are there to sell normal coins.
If they ask me, I'll tell them. If not, I'm just buying coins from them.

Ok I won't send it in but no one sees the doubling because. In back of the 9 and on top ofthe 7 there is only around 50 of them known. Ss

This one seems worth exploring more. A clear photo will answer the question, but in the second photo the IN GOD do look enough like DDO-001 (which is on a large date) that I hope a better photo can be had to clearly show the coin. Yes that is a rare DDO with not so many known, and it is one that a coin dealer would be able to see and look up a value that would move into the submit for grading range. So there is enough evidence here that a better photo of the obverse or a close up of the details of the motto would be very helpful. This year had some real problems with Machine Doubling, so there is that possibility as well. Hoping for the best.
