Anyone want to help me verify if this '87 is a Double Die? I see on Reverse Definite doubling in AMERICA. But I'm not sure about the obverse. The Mint Mark looks Doubled along with the date and some other devices have subtle doubling.

Looks like DDD, split plating, and possible MD.

No real value beyond one cent. If you like the coin, keep it--a good example of DDD and MD for sure.

Always a possibility than someone interested in collecting coins with similar 'issues' might pay a dollar or two for it on ebay..

Mintmark is also showing split plating, along with with the DDD.

with all of the above. The split plating is showing the zinc greyish colour under the copper where the copper has split open near the MM.
