I really think I found something this time. All the other times I was mistaken but I've got my fingers crossed. Is this close enough to be considered a closed AM on a 1978 penny?

I'm going to take a video so nobody will think I'm using 2 pennies. I can't post a video here right? So I guess I'll have to post in the group I'm in on FB.

Not my specialty, but this looks like a normal coin to me.

Yeah that's what somebody else told me too. I have been searching for months for just anything even decent and have found nothing. I give up searching for these coins. I'm just going to keep buying coins. I don't see how anybody does it to be honest. I love the coins but coin roll hunting is for the birds.

All 1978 Lincoln cents are WAM. The "A" in states is centered on WAMs. Your Coin is RDV-004 which is normal for your Coin. http://lincolncentsonline.com/closeWide.html

Here is a link with instructions on how to link to videos in your post https://www.coincommunity.com/forum...g-videos.asp

Note the location of the 'M'. It is centered. On the Close AM it is off center to the left. The location between the 'AM' can vary, it is the location of the 'M' between the AME that shows it is Wide AM. No need for a video. We can see it in these images. The 'M' is always centered on the images you are posting. Besides, the idea for a close 'AM' didn't start until 1992 when they started then using it early before the correct year that it was to be coming out 1993 on Business strikes and Proofs that year 1993.

Listen to Lawest...learn first, search later, you might have passed up something that was "something" without knowing. Lord knows I did in my early days...best of luck on future finds, keep at it and yes continue to buy and add to your collection.......have fun
