There just isn't a market for circulated modern notes...not many collectors as compared to coins.

Fernagh should e-mail Steve in Tampa - he's the resident expert on paper money.

Thanks @Fernagh....email sent.

If I were you, I would go back and edit your post and remove your email address.

SteveInTampa,
Fernagh is not allowed to buy/sell/trade until he has enough posts.

Not sure, but I think a new member needs a certain amount of posts before email can be turned on.

From the CCF rules page

one of the mods would have to say how many posts it takes for someone to no longer be a new member and have their email enabled.

In this case, the member went in and changed their settings and I was able to message the member.

In my opinion as a former moderator on an astronomy forum, the buying/selling rules are also to protect the buyer and the seller. I wouldn't want to sell a $500 coin for $50 because someone on here knew the value and "cherry picked" the coin. I also wouldn't want to get ripped off by buying a fake coin/ bill.

If someone uses the pm system to clandestinely buy/sell a coin it's none of my business. But to blatantly do it on an open former isn't kosher. Just my 2 cents..
