BadThad might know. I have a 2003 LMC graded by NGC that has really nice rainbow colors. I'll try to post a pic.

Also, note: rainbows are post mint. It has nothing to do with mintage.

LMC= Lincoln Memorial cent

Color on a coin is caused by the natural toning or patination of the metal surface, it has nothing to do with the minting process. The Zincolns(post 82 Lincolns) tend to get ugly when they tone and the ones that have attractive colors are highly desired. The older bronze Lincolns tended to tone a bit better but copper is so reactive that any toning can be a crapshoot- may look nice one day and then a few years later, you have a handful of ugly
