(note the die flow lines on that area) But the ear is not any larger than any other area. What does LIBERTY show on the 'ERTY' area? There is a linear plating bubble below the eye area, but that should have no affect on the ear area? Maybe more images might show us more? Report this Post to the Staff

I don't see much Die Deterioration in that area, no other plating bubbles in line with it, and it would be a very coincidental die gouge. But, it seems very faint and ill-defined for most doubled ears. Not sure. I'm still waiting for confirmation/rejection on a few possible doubled ears that I found a year or two ago (Two of them being 1984's as well). I sent them to Wexler a few weeks ago. If any of mine get confirmed, I'd recommend you send yours to Wexler, as mine are similar in strength but definitely from different dies. I'll let you know.
