RobO411 To CCF. My Guess would be Plating issues.

it can't be plating issues, since 1964 was not plated.

Daves Errors, uh, 1964 Lincoln Memorial Cents were not plated.
Anyways, could it be Die Clash marks from Lincoln?
Errers and Varietys.

Yeah I know, I was looking at split screens two different coins my stupid anyways. Looks like Struck through or Die damage. Die getting ready to break and make a Cud it looks a little like a Cud starting to form on the left in the third picture ..

I have one EXACTLY like it. I sent it to Mike Diamond. He didn't have an answer to what caused it other than some type of weird Die Deterioration. Take a look between the roof and the center columns and see it you see a tiny strike through that appears to be cloth.

Try a toothpick on that area. That might be clear grease:

How about some kind of coolant or beads of water on the die surface....but then if Jim0815 has the same exact type..die dents...just putting it out there...
