Could this be a 1983 D large date DDO on the Liberty and in god we trust. I didnt post pictures of the back because it was normal no doubling, but I can if anyone would like. Also (Last Question) If this is a DDO what would this be worth? Anything? Or just fun to have? Thank you again to all of you who help me figure put if Ive got something here.

Nope I think it is a die chip... or die break. I only see the error in the D in GOD. Everything else looks normal.

On second glance it could be zinc rot...possibly?

No its definitely not zinc rot I learned about that awhile ago its definitely a stamp or extra lettering inside the D in God. Almost like the D was stamped over another letter or number. But I cant figure it out lol. I saw one other person with the same thing on their 1983 D on the D in God but I cant find his thing now and he called it a DDO error and I forget what he was selling it for. (doesn't matter what he was selling it for of it's not worth anything lol. Anyhow thanks for some information I'll keep searching for what it is.

There are no large date/small date 1983...you are thinking of 1982. The D looks like plating issue/debris. Not a doubled die. John1

it's a die chip at best, if you look at the W in we ,and the T's in trust , they are flowing to the rim. Die Deterioration Doubling is what you have ,you can see on the tops of the letters .good luck and happy hunting P.S.this year has alot of die cracks on the backs

On the 'D' on GOD, it looks more like an issue with split plating either from a strike or from damage to that area. Check to see if you can see gray color from the zinc on that area?
