to CCF. Photo of reverse? Looks like damage of some sort. It did not leave the mint like that.Not an error.

That is just damage from extreme heat. Could have been in a fire or purposely damaged with torch.

Coins like this are interesting at first glance. I agree about the high heat, an image of the reverse and it not having left the mint like that.
Since it is in a small, centralized area it is probably from the torch.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

I agree with @lcutler. When we see this sort of bubbling on a clad coin, we ascribe it to excessive heat--i.e. a "campfire coin".

Note the rim. This should be circular. When it is altered, the coin has been damaged. Looks like as already mentioned, the heat created bubbles between the cladding and then flattened. (probably wouldn't work in a cending machine without the flattening) Collect the best, spend the rest. Damage doesn't increase value on a coin.

Thank you yes for letting me know it was damaged I was wondering what was going on. It's nice to get an opinion from people who know about errors.
