It is what some of us call the Type II. I has some doubled letters and doubled denticles, but not to the extent of the Type III. Historically, PCGS has not called this one the DDO. Still a scarce coin.

Yes, it's an 1882 Obv 2/1 and one of the 3 types, as Rob has stated. There is the heavily doubled type 1 that is highly desired and the one like yours, type 2 also hard to find. And then you have the 2/1 with no doubling (type 30.
Your coin should also have well-offset denticle doubling between Vicky and Canada. I have a few and, like Rob also says, a fairly scarce coin. ALL 2/1's are nice to try to accumulate.

That's a nice one gidjit! It will retone in time and be even nicer. I've tried to convince a few ebay sellers I've bought from to not clean their coins, but I haven't been able to convince any yet.

Awesome buy! Too bad the seller clean it. Not a smart move by the seller.

these would be the offset denticles you are referring too, whats the scarcity of this one compared to the type 1 from 2011 charlton? as this is the only one I have forund like this but have found 3 of the type 1

I think that the type 2 is about the same scarcity as the type 1 with heavy D/P's. We only included the type 1 & 3 when we wrote the 2011 Charlton, and didn't include the type 2 because we already had the other 2 2/1's listed. The thing with the type 2 is that people were looking for the doubling to affect many more letters (type 1), so the type 2 may have slipped past folks from CCRS that were looking for them 6-7 years ago. I have about the same number of the type 2's as type 1's, but have sold a few type 2 to fellow collectors that had never seen them before. So maybe the type 2 is actually scarcer than the type 1 ... who knows? I haven't bought coins for a long time now and just try to help others.

Yontan ... Does your 1882 Obv 2/1 coin have denticle doubling (type 2) between Canada & Victoria? From your last photo, it looks like it. Normally, the type 1 doesn't have that, but your great photography with the pronounced doubling of the A's in Canada and nicely offsets in Regina made me think that you had a type 1. You made me go back and look at my types 1 & 2 again (I have several of all of them). Yours is a 2, which we didn't include in the 2011 Charlton section. The type 1, with heavy Obv doubling has most of Canada doubled with large offsets, plus more in Regina and Gratia. But your photography made me blink.

I checked my bank of pictures, and no, I don't have a shot further to the left. However, I can say, unequivocally, that the denticle doubling between Victoria and Canada is there, identifying it as a type 2.

Very nice coins yontan and gidjit. I have to admit, in the 9 years that I've been collecting, the 1881 SSN and this 1882 DDO Type 2 have both eluded me.

I found all the 1882 DP Obverse varieties hard to find, I think the TP was the hardest to find for me. I have been lucky on the others including the 1881 ssn. Here's mine like this one
