wwhitman, sorry it took so long to get back on this. Had a court apearence up in Richmond. I've exhausted all the material I have and nothing. Not sure if the photos are fooling me or is there environmental damage on the coin? Another thing I've noticed is what appears to be a gouge coming off the hair curls going up into Morgans initial on the neck. Is it just the picture or is there really something there? Also check on the rev. for doubling on STA of states and let me know.

The more I look at the coin, the more I think something happened to the coin and it is a normal coin. Looks like some type of chemical/water damage causing the circles. Just happened within the 8's making an optical illusion. Also looks like someone took a Brillo pad to it.
Hope the 'court appearance' was not too stressful.
Thanks for taking the time to inspect.
