Princetane Pillar of the Community 4628 Posts	Posted 03/29/2020 09:13 am Looks really early too, like 1620s as he has a very 1620s look rather than the flowing hair and Van Dyke beard of the 1630s/40s. the Shield reminds me more of James I I don't suppose you can read a mint mark on it can you (Anyway its a magnificent coin!) and to find it is beater rather than fork out Hundreds of dollars like I did! Not overly worn, I would say, just weakly struck - as made - like many of these Elizabethan/Charles pieces. Nice find.
