I don't usually check 1960-P rolls, but this one was labeled small date so had to check it. Nope, all large date but two of these were in there. Fairly minor class 6 DDO, but it's pretty easy to spot when going through a roll as the B in LIBERTY is quite a bit thicker than a normal coin. Solid die marker is the die chip in the R of TRUST. 1960 Lincoln Memorial cent doubled die DDO-010

Thanks! And yes those are some swirly whirly die scratches. Once I found the first one didn't have to look very hard for any others in there. Went through the roll lot and found some more rolls with the same "sm date" label and the next one had four of these. Looks like I may end up with rather a bunch of them by the time I get through all the ones marked that way as there are about 6 more of them. SamC I get rolls from everywhere, but more often from dealers and at coin shows in large quantities rather than from ebay. The rolls this one came out of was a purchase I made from a dealer of 100 BU memorial rolls for $150. Note that a roll of 1960-P large date only has a wholesale value of about 70 cents, but when buying large lots I count on there being some better rolls in there worth three bucks each and it evens out.

Great informative post! How does one get their photos this large? I thought there was a size limit?

Great job spotting that one and those die scratches in front of his face are awesome. "Precious. We wants it. We needs it. My Precious ... copper(?)" Gollum had it almost right! Thanks GC, I saw the same thing in the R.

CoinHI, I'm not using any trick for picture size. After I rotate and crop the image to have just what is needed in it, I save it at 72 dpi with the log axis at 12 inches. That will be a little too large a file for the full coin shots, but I save them as .jpg compression 8 instead of 10 and they pretty much always come in under the size limit.
