Yup...I got it turned around. Round "0" large date. Oblong "0" small date.

The biggest point is the lining up the rotation with the tops of the '9'. On the small dates the '1' is also in line with the tops of the '9'. But on the large date, the '1' is a bit lower than the location of the small date '1'.
