I believe this is Galba, but I'm unsure of the denomination and RIC number. It measures 27mm, weighs 7.7g, and is struck on an irregular planchet. The obverse bust is facing left and reads SER GALBA CAESAR AVG [maybe TRI?]. The reverse reads LIBERTAS PVBLICA, with a female figure facing left, holding a scepter at right, and her arm outstretched to the left. She is flanked by S C. Any help identifying and grading this coin would be greatly appreciated.

It appears to be RIC I, 424. Obv: SER GALBA IMP CAESAR AVG TR P. Laureate bust left. REV: LIBERTAS PVBLICA S-C. Libertas, draped, standing left, right hand holding pileus, rod in left (image courtesy ANS OCRE/ British Museum http://numismatics.org/ocre/id/ric.1(2).gal.424).

I would grade your coin as "only fair but attributable". That being said, the British Museum coin below is no gem. The bright green above the bust on your coin is concerning. If it is powdery or grows in size, it is likely bronze disease.

Is there anything I can do to slow the spread of bronze disease?

You may be able to find treatment suggestions by searching the forum. I would begin by gently brushing away anything green and powdery, then watching for a few weeks to see if it returns. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronze_disease
