The toning doesn't affect the grade.
However in terms of eye appeal its a matter of opinion.
I'd say it adds to the appeal of the coin.
Others may not like it though.

In this example, I find the toning enhances the eye appeal.

yes I find it quite a nice coin visually as well, appears to be a pretty good grade too, the other side has a scuff on it though

Very attractive. Looks MS, but a sharper shot of the portrait side would help.

Very hard to see actual tone colour with a black/white pic..Orb + crown on reverse has minimal wear. Kings brow on the obverse also has minimal wear..From the pic I would grade as gEF-A/unc...55=58...

MS seriously?

Quite a lot of wear on the hair and face of KGV - I would say this high VF.

The toning to be honest actually detracts - I would pass on this coin, unless it was really cheap.

If this were a British crown, I'd say EF. There's a bit of wear on the brow and the ear and a scuff mark right of the head. The hair on British George VI silver is poorly defined.

I found it diificult to grade from this photograph and there's no picture of the edge. In hand, I might want increase the grade to GEF.

EF-45 imo, not enough to lustre to get any higher here in Canada, but might make AU-53 - AU-58 by US standards because of the patina.

Nice coin regardless, the patina is nice but I don't think it should affect the grade.

Yes,also to my eyes the Obverse seems to have had a clean somewhere along the line but may be the glare/shine in photo.
