Hello,

Today I attended my first coin show and wow! We were only there 2 hours but it felt like it was a lot longer. I bought 3 modern commemoratives from 3 different vendors. A lot of really nice people.

Cameras were OK no flashes though as were shoulder bags and small backpacks. I had a blast but found it hard to not spend a ton of money. Looks like I'm over my budget for this month (November) but it was so fun.

All price guides are just that, a guide. I generally go by https://www.numismedia.com. I like the Greysheet but all coins are not in there. It's more of a "type" price guide to me.

I wish we had some smaller shows here closer to me in NC because the only show I have went to was a huge show in Charlotte (where they were showing the newly acquired 1933 St Gaudens coins on display) and was overwhelmed by all the people and coins to be seen

Glad to see you had a good time. Coin shows are great. Your lucky with the back packs though. As I've said many times at most shows I go to if you have one you would be asked to take it out to a car or something. People just don't like to get smacked with those in a crowded show. Most of the shows around me are so crowded it is difficult to get through some of the aisles.
