I didnt want to make two more post so just combined these two. Both the date and mint mark on both pennies dont look right to me. New at this so thought I'd ask.

Difficult to tell from these photos, but the mintmarks look alright to me.

@cookie, it is a little hard to tell from the pics, but your '87-D appears to have split plate doubling on the mintmark.

The 61-D looks like circulation flattening to me, normal coin. The '87-D looks like playing bubbles and split plate doubling to me. Nothing error like that I can see.

I think you are referring to the angle placement of the mint marks? That is normal because they are added to the dies with a punch done by hand until 1990 when the mintmark is since then part of the dies design. So no more RPMs after 1990. If there is doubling on the mintmark, then it is part of the doubled dies:
