I've been wondering. Would this be considered a Die Crack? I have five others but 1972.

All sorts of ways I would guess,a tech drops the die or drops a tool or something onto the die etc. Not even sure it is a die gouge, need some pros to chim in.

Thanks again John1. Thank you for info about gouges I was wondering for awhile and thought something like that created them. But I was sorta thinking that if it happened on a 70 and 72 (maybe) a flaw in the Die. I'm going to re-post this with with the 72 (s) to compare.

Looks like a deep die scratch on the second one. Neither die die cracks. Just die events that altered the fields. They are too straight to be a die crack. They are irregular and go in any direction at will.

Thank you coop for info. Yes the 2nd and 5th 1972 has a scratch. But all 5-72 has the raised roof as the 1970. The 72 (s)looks to get larger as you go down the list. The 70 is the largest.
