Acid dipped coin. Not an error coin. Just a damaged coin, PSD (Post Strike Damage).

@bcr, yes that cent looks like it had a bath in acid. The weight may be a little below mint spec.

Thx for your help. I have never come across a coin like that the only thing I could think of was grease struck. I never even thought of acid.thx again. Oh yeah just for the heck of it I weighed it, it was right there.3.1 thx again I appreciate it

I have one very similar. It is a 52 Wheat Back. It may not be worth anything but I really like it.
