I am at XF45. Is the bluish color toning or tint from a photo? If the color is toning, I would have a concern that the toning is AT.

That's my concern as well. I know it's a soft strike, but I'd worry it would come back EF details (cleaned and re-toned).

I'm thinking XF-45, genuine, not harshly cleaned or abraded. Eye appeal is pleasing overall, IMO. Even if toning was judged to be not original the price seems pretty good.

It is rather blue.

If this coin had an old cleaning and was stored for a while in an old Kraft 2x2 envelope or in older tissue paper, the sulfur would produce a bluish tone. I'm just not sure it would be as vibrant as this coin appears to be. That could just be lighting. I'll look forward to your photos when it comes in.

That said, I see an EF-45 obverse and EF-40 reverse. Your price is right about Greysheet, and that's pretty decent for an early Seated dollar. If this one is original or if your photos show a notch higher on the technical grade, you did very well here.

Well this coin came in looking nothing like the pictures in the listing. Will head back to seller tomorrow. Thoughts? Thanks!

I am going to drop my grade to vf30/35. The coin looks original with no eye appeal.

Wow.... THAT was some serious photo doctoring from the Seller.

No better than VF-35'ish to XF40'ish.

Actually it looks better on arrival. The sellers photos made the coin look harshly cleaned. This one looks solid VF-35 with a shot at 40.
