Has anyone had any luck finding them yet? I wasn't expecting them to come out for a while- I figured demand for new quarters from the Fed would be super low given the pandemic. Plus with all the banks being inaccessible due to social distancing. So I look on ebay, and they're all over the place already (the 2 new designs, even the one that came out ~2 weeks ago!) News about them being found in circulation seems to be conspicuously absent from Coin World. I'm guessing they're deliberately not covering it to prevent a bank rush. Happy hunting, and stay safe everyone!

My theory is the low infected parts of America are likely mostly business as usual with the banks. My area not so much. Like 100 miles from me seems to have a lot of them on ebay I'm actually in the camp that the ones on ebay are bank people selling them are reasonable this point though. It can be both theorie's too. I managed to pick up 10 rolls from my bank on Friday but they were all circulated and nothing interesting.

That's an interesting theory! It makes sense.
Some of the YouTube CRH's are starting to post videos about opening 2020 uncirculated quarter boxes (with W's in them!), so it looks like they are starting to pop up.
I'm hesitant about going to the bank and asking for a box just to satisfy my hobby cravings - it seems like "nonessential business", which is frowned upon these days. In my area, lobbies are closed and everything is by appointment, which fuels my hesitation. Maybe that'll change as we all get used to this new way of life. What do you guys think?
In any case, I haven't seen any 2020 quarters in circulation yet in my area. The UNC boxes/rolls and the W's didn't hit my area in earnest last year until the end of September. Maybe my mindset about going to the bank will change once I start seeing new quarters in my change. Or better yet, the world gets back to normal soon!

I check ebay regularly and search by " 2020 W quarter" then sort by "Distance: Nearest first" instead of best match. It's not foolproof, but it seems like when they are in your area or near you, You'll know it this way because someone is always going to list them for sale. Right now a whole bunch of graded ones from 2 sellers are on there within 20 miles of me. Mostly the American Samoa coin, a couple weir Farm. probably bank tellers. LOL. Next closest is 115 miles away. As far as my area goes, I just find American Samoa Ps so far, and if getting coin from banks were easier I'd probably take the drive to Miami and see what's up around town. I can always just fish around here, a little here, a little there, but banking is such a pain right now, I'm not really feeling it.

And don't get discouraged, I was still getting whole boxes of BU new 2018s in November, so those BU boxes of 2019 ad 2020s will still be popping up for a long time.

At the gas station, my friend who works there sold me a solid roll of 2020 quarters. He also had more rolls of 2020 quarters, but he was able to only sell me one roll, as he needed the others for the gas station. I also got a roll of nickels, dimes, and two rolls of cents. In three days (I let the coins sit for three days because of Covid), I will search them.

No 2020 W's for me yet. A few bat P's & D's but no W's.
Any of you guys hear anything about coin shortages? Several tellers have told me that they are not getting the number of boxes that they order.

There is definitely a coin shortage. My bank won't sell me rolls right now. Luckily the gas station sells me some rolls.

Actually, it's probably a distribution problem not a coin shortage. A shortage of drives and workers due to the virus. Or distribution centers shut down.

Quote: Actually, it's probably a distribution problem not a coin shortage. I believe it is both. The Mint output has been reduced as well. Those disposable Zincoln cents do not come from thin air. Even if they did, they would still cost more than a cent to make!

Quote: The Mint output has been reduced as well. So you read somewhere that the coin mintage numbers for 2020 have been changed/reduced?

https://www.npr.org/2020/06/21/8809...toilet-paperQuote: The U.S. Mint produced fewer coins than usual this spring in an effort to protect employees from infection. But the larger problem — as with many other pandemic shortages — is distribution. While it is both, distribution is the larger issue, giving your earlier statement more value.
