Are these seller's pics? can you tell if that cheek has a rub or is it just toning?

Looks like it could be a 63/64 if it's MS, but I would prefer to wait for in hand pics to make final judgement.

seller's pics but I'm not sure my pics are going to be better than these. I think s/he did a pretty good job with these photos.

Quality wise the pics are great I think it's just a lighting issue. the tone seems pretty flat, uncharacteristic of an MS coin but I'm sure poor lighting can give that effect.

64'ish. Obverse die was getting ready to self-destruct! Looks like some clash marks on the reverse, too!

Nice pickup at a fair price! Hope it looks just as good in-hand.

Congrats!

I'd say MS-63, but not much luster. Nice die break at the date. Not sure what's going on to the left of ONE DIME, possible damage?

David Lawrence writes that:
"Some specimens have the 2 in the date connected
to the bust, a result of a die chip.
"Die clashes also common."

Did the die chip come first?
And was this the cause of the die crack?

I think there's enough small marks to hold it to MS-63.

I would say MS-63 with a nice die chip and die crack! However, I'm a little hesitant based on the pictures. I think it's just muted luster and toning that gives the appearance of slight rub on the cheek.

I said 63 just because I don't think a basically dull-looking coin like this has enough curb appeal to make 64 or higher.
