Hello all, I'm new to forums, fumbling my way through. I have been a Casual coin collector most of my old life never concentrating on a particular subject. Lately I have been concentrating on completing my Lincoln Penny book. I am trying to be careful buying only genuine coins and trying to learn to avoid altered or fakes. I WILL ask ignorant questions but promise to try to learn. Thanks in advance for being tolerant with me!

Welcome to the Community! Do you know what separates the experts on this forum and the newbies?

Posts and paying attention to details. We all make mistakes. If you aren't making mistakes, you are not posting. You will meet those who will let you know when you have stepped over the line. Also those who have lost patience for those who keep forgetting to orient your coins image or something is out of focus. Don't worry, just keep posting. The first will be your hardest but I am guessing you will find a host of helpful people to guide you on your adventure.

They say there are no dumb questions. That is true, unless you are asking the same question for the third time because you didn't like the answers the first two times.
