Thanks for all the friendly welcomes, including from you, levelsofmadness!
I will ask my brother to do that, Coinfrog, levelsofmadness, and Dr. Coop, and send more photos to me.
I will then post them here.

Just be very careful handling the coin when you take it out of the 2x2. Wash your hands before touching it, and only handle it by the edges - never touch the surfaces of the coin. Also, NEVER clean a coin for any reason (not that you would, but just a heads up for any valuable coin). The only acceptable way to conserve it is to soak it in pure acetone from the hardware store (not nail polish remover, which can have impurities).

Thanks for the advice, SamCoin.
So, the acetone should not damage the coin in any way?

Thats a beauty. Ive never found something this nice in change. Very cool. Very collectible. I would say $200-$400. The side with Lincoln and the date showing the best is very strong.

Thanks, Kloccwork419, but it is actually my brother's.
So, I haven't found something that nice in change either.

Super super super awesome! Looks like a nice grade for that error too. You should get some considerable money for that coin.

The second strike is still weaker than the main strike, so I think it's still very possible this is a legit error.

So, Coop, even though it appears to be a strong second strike, you believe this is a true mint error, correct? Also, Josephm99, you seem to agree with Coop. So, do any of you have some suggestions for asking price and where to sell? Are there any TPG suggestions? Any auction house suggestions?

You might create a search on ebay for these for a time and watch auctions to see what they sell for. Watch for copper Memorial planchet examples. (Zinc cents would be lower priced) get several in almost the same coin conditions. After you have several examples for ending prices, average them to see the price range. That would be the best way to know what the market is. Some may pay to much, some will sell for less because of condition. So an average might be a guide. It just takes time to figure this out, but won't cost you anything. Find an auction and click on Watch feature, then check back later after the auction ends on myeBay.

This is an entirely conventional in-collar, flipover, double strike, with rotation of the coin between strikes. The relatively strong first-strike details give this specimen exceptional eye-appeal.

You may also want to contact a dealer who is experienced with error coins, I'm sure they could give you assistance. https://ctferrorcoins.com/ seems to have a lot of errors available.
