Here is an example of what a doubled EPU would look like.

Still looking for anyone else who has found an example of this one. The only one reported thus far. Note the wider devices in the images. Click on image to get a better view. Note the dot west of the U UNUM? It should be round, but is oval because of the doubling.

I've never received a very good explanation for what does cause that, but I can tell you two things...

1. It is a common occurence.
2. It is not a doubled die.

rockdude, I had an old antigue 8mm video camera a long time and found out I could only get about 10 dollars out of it, so I thought I would use the lens off of it. really small one. didnt think it would do good but it did. Later rockdude

Not long ago I posted a coin with very similar doubling. It's on a 2004 D. Until I looked at the date that you had on the picture, I thought we had #2:-)

Bill: The Two years have them. Because of the 2004 I started checking all years. So far just the two years that anyone has found them.
