Hard to believe people break these things out of sets a spend them. Probably some stupid kid or burglar.

I've found dozens of proofs in circulation before, but only 1 silver proof. You'd be surprised to know how willing people are to sell them as there is little premium on the secondary market.

Nice find. Hard to believe but happens more than one would think. I've gotten 2 out of a register at a convenience store and 3 silver proof halves from rolls.

You can't give them away, that's why they spend them.

I found a 1986 Commemorative clad proof half dollar roll hunting. The proof luster was completely gone. No major damage or hits. It looks like a business strike. I liked it so much, I put it in my 7070 type set album.
