Commerce Rules the Main!

Breton 983; Charlton AM-3; Davis 61 (Non-local); Withers 1433 (RR).

Die punches re-used or abused on both sides.

All the white-colored scratches are on the slab, not the token.

I'll drop in the TPG label in a day or two.

Have fun!
Tom

EF-40? I get the feeling that it's going to be higher than I think... as is usually the case with these tokens. Hard to determine what's a product of the strike vs wear

With my apologies...I was able to clean up the white chatter on that earlier photo. Didn't think of it until this morning, and I just managed a few minutes ago to come up with this improved shot.

My bad.

Of course, you should all feel free to revise your estimate. (Not too much is on the line here, right?)

Wash your hands!

I know nothing about this series but usually grade has a feel to it. I'll go with VF-30 strictly on the strength of the reverse, the latter making any assessment below VF, a puzzle.

If this was a VF coin, there would be dings and marks on the letters and the rim. I don't see any. I also don't see any marks in the fields. I'm also rereading the original post where it was mentioned the the dies were "re used" or "abused". This coin looks worn, but I believe thats its really a mint state coin.

MS-62(ish) final answer.
