Actually, I just found this in a coin roll. Looks proof to me.
But in a coin roll?

Not a proof. Proofs are often found by anybody seriously searching rolls. I've found over 3 rolls of nickel proofs when I was heavily searching boxes.

Here's an impaired proof I found roll hunting. The proof luster is completely gone. I liked it so much I put it in my 7070.

Yeah, not a proof. But you do find them in the wild. People who know no better steal them from relatives or the like and spend them.

USSID, that looks like the simple circulation strike to me.

The uncirculated issues of this commemorative would have P or D mint mark. This one has an S.

Thank you! the consensus is that my 1968S Penny is not a proof coin? I don't know if that's good or bad.

Here's a 1968-S Proof strike. Note the mirror fields, sharp devices and sharp square rims.

Do not feel bad. I had to look at it twice to be sure myself.
