Hi does this 91 O look AU 50?
Its a VAM 1A With the clashed E
having a tough time finding one in AU . This one is graded AU-50 in a old ANACS holder. Sellers photos

It looks like XF40 to me and just makes it in my opinion.

No way that's an AU.

I think it's closer to EF-40, given the flattening of the hair over the forehead on the obverse, and the worn feathers at the base of the eagle's neck on the reverse.

While it looks dull to me, I can see it as an AU50.

O Mint Morgans are notorious for weak striking in these areas.

Yes that's just on the edge of AU-50. In a good way - it's flatly struck and seems to have a bit of luster so might even make 53 on a good day.

thanks yeah the 91 O , 88 O and 96 O seem to be super flat , there are some 88 O 62,63's where the ear is flat and much of the hair above the ear
