The shelf-like doubling looks like a really nice example of MD, plus fairly extensive grease in the die. Nice find!

Struck though grease, machine doubled and possible the obverse die was over polished before this strike. Smaller motto, missing devices on outer devices and the Machine Doubling on the bottoms of the devices that are on the coin.

So, the cliche question is: what's it worth?

Probably anywhere from couple bucks to $20 or so. it's a nice example of a Greaser and Machine Doubling, but neither are particularly desirable errors unless you see extreme design loss or extreme shifting. This is close, but not close enough to demand a super high premium IMO.

Not a premium coin, but one to share with a new collector. It shows several events and that more than one issue can happen on a coin. You cover what a Struck Through Grease, Machine Doubling, obverse die polishing, all on a single coin.
