It looks a little like a Lamination to me. I might be wrong but it looks like a lam

Looks like the lamination peeled. That's a monster and definitely worthy of being put in a 2x2.

Thank you but its not surface of the coin cracked and flaked. According to some collectors, it looks like an imprint on the coin. Please take a good look. Thanks again.

It's not a counter stamp as you've been told. Silver coins as well as copper coins will sometimes have lamentation issues, sometimes the lamentation stays with the coin and sometimes the lamentation peels away as in the case of your coin. How do I know it's a delaminated coin? Look at the area below the date, that area hasn't peeled away.

This is a lamination error. A decent size for a lam! Nice find!

Major lamination, nice. The reverse looks like maybe glue? Maybe an acetone bath might help but do not do that unless the pros recommend it.

JIM0815 is correct in my opinion on how he comes to the conclusion. It's not a counterstamp at all. This is a serious lamination error. The area below the date where it hasn't peeled away is the indicator.

That is fascinating--we definitely don't see as many lams on silver coins posted to CCF. This is a nice find!

Very nice example of a lamination issue on a silver coin.

I agree wholeheartedly with everyone about it being a lamination (especially John1 about the glue).
Congratulations!
It is definitely not damaged from the reeds of another coin and a lot more desirable than a countermark (counter Stamp).

Thanks everyone but I still don't believe it is a lamination issue. Look at the corner above the head, it looks like a corner of building stairs and all those deep marks.
Thanks again.

I think this is a lam issue. You can also see it behind his neck, close to the rim
