1992-P Lincoln Cent Plating Error At Face, Beard, Shirt Collar On Obverse?

Perfect Error Valued Member United States 477 Posts	Posted 05/29/2020 8:20 pm Appears to be a Plating Error at various locations of Lincolns Face, Beard, Shirt Collar, Bust, Letters in Liberty, In God We Trust, Date and in the Fields. No Substances/Glue/Residue etc. were found on the Coin and appears to be overall, in Good Condition. The Plating does not appear to be Flaking or Lifting. The Reverse does not exhibit this condition and I have not cleaned this Coin. The Weight appears to be Normal. Grease Filled? But why just certain isolated areas? My question is what caused this Plating Condition? Any thoughts? Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

A design or something else that altered the surface of one side of the coin, like a parking lot coin. It doesn't appear that both sides were affected. But mot a mint error, as only one side is affected, and the marks appear incuse into the strike of the coins devices. Report this Post to the Staff
