I'm new to the VAM world, and I need a little help.

I'm checking some of my duplicate Morgan dollars in preparation for selling some of them and trying to figure out the VAM's. This 1878 P appears to be either a VAM41 or a VAM41-B. It has the small die gouge line to right of lower cotton leaf but I'm not seeing the clashed die with partial incuse n at the neck area. Also on the reverse, the middle arrow shaft seems to have something at the end of it, but I'm not sure what it is.

Let me know if the pictures aren't clear enough and I'll try to redo them.
Can anyone help me with this one?

Not seeing any clashing on the rev, but I'd say 41B.

I just can't tell from these photos if it's a VAM 39A or 41B it's definitely clashed, but the resolution isn't good enough when the photos are full size to tell, too many jpeg artifacts. Better photos would help a lot I think.

westcoin,

I've taken 5 more pictures and attached them. I hope they are detailed enough to provide a definitive answer to the 39A or 41B question. The big difference between the two seems to be a clashed n and t on the 39A as opposed to just a clashed n on the 41B, right? When I look at the pictures on VAM World, I can't make out either the n or the t clashes.

Thanks for your help and assistance.

I've looked a little closer and based on the diagnostics, it seems to fully match the 39 or 39A as opposed to either the 41 or 41B.
However, as hard as I try, I just can't see the clashed n by the neck or the clashed t by the hair curls. I know the clashing of the n and t is a common occurrence on many VAMs so I'd sure like to be able to actually identify them. Does anyone know if there's a better visual somewhere?

Thanks for all of the comments and feedback provided.
I wish I'd started in on VAM's when I was younger w/ better vision!
