Hello all, I'm David from Pennsylvania. I just joined because these forums can be helpful and I'm not really a coin collector like I was when I was younger but am slowly finding some interest in it again. I am a silver stacker and favor the Canadian maples. The ASE premiums are just too high although I have a few graded ones. One in particular, I went and bought a PCGS MS70 2020 P emergency issue silver eagle and I noticed today after it came in the mail that the nose looks to be doubled. At first I thought it was a part of a star but when I compared it to my other eagles I noticed there are no stars near her nose. I'll have to unload pics once I figure out how.
I haven't belonged to any forums for over 20 years.
I have never heard of or seen double die ASE. Is this something other members have knowledge in? Thank you for the membership. - David

Welcome and, yes, pics are needed but I will go out on a limb and say it's most likely Machine Doubling which is frequently seen in modern issues and usually does not add any value other than being a curiosity.
