I saw it paging through ebay listings. I thought about it for a bit, then went back to look at it. I thought about it some more, went back again, looked at it one more time and then bought it. It is a gorgeous 1908 Barber quarter graded MS-66 by PCGS. It has beautiful silver surfaces with gold toning and shimmering luster. I cost me half the money I had saved in my coin budget but I think it was money well spent. Paul Bulgerin

Very nice! Could we get a close-up of the cheek?

Sorry; not the best image. Under my 10X it is very smooth with just one mark just below the hairline.

Very good buy! Barber quarters are quite attractive, I've been trying to find one with attractive color for months with nothing so far, at least not for an outrageous price.

I'm a pastor. I'm great at taking criticism.
The obverse is a lot nicer than the enlarged photo of the cheek shows. There are couple of tiny marks in the field in front of the bust and one on the neck but I think it's very nice.
You are right, the reverse is magnificent.

Since the "noise" on the cheek appears to random I suspect it was caused from being stored in a Mint bag. That doesn't harm the grade as much as marks from handling. And in hand I wonder if it really looks that bad. Hi-res camera images tend to see lots of stuff that the eye doesn't see.
