Been away for a while, and back to participate.

Picked this up about a year ago, and it being a Norfolk, I'm having a heckuva time coming up with a grade. The colors are true to the coin.

Let me know what you think.

Beautiful coin! Don't see any distracting marks. I'll let those more skilled than me provide a grade.

Attractive coin! Thanks for sharing.

From a technical perspective, I would think that the small divots on the lower sails of the 2nd and 3rd masts (from the left) plus the divot on the sea line below the fifth wave (from the left) and the divot on the plow that is above and to the right of the middle wheat bundle would limit the coin to a grade of no more than MS-65 (assuming there aren't other issues that can't be seen in the images). The attractive overall appearance might get a bonus point under "market grading" standards, however.

In-hand grading is always best for this particular coin due to its design. The design of the Norfolk is one of the busiest in the series and marks are often difficult to locate. Because of this, the coin is often attractive across a range of mint states which is reflected in the small range of price points for the coin from MS-63 through MS-67.
