Has there ever been a certified mint error that was somewhat similar to this or a Dryer Coin. Might have butchered the term

Correct, PMD. Spend it if you can convince someone it's a cent.

I just picked this coin up for the first time since posting on it and my fingers were telling me I had a dime in my hand. So I decided to weigh it and got 2.2. So I took another look and saw the shadow to the west of Lincolns head resembles Roosevelt's silhouette. At least to me anyways. Just hoping one of you guys with more experience could take a look. Let me know if you you see anything where in God we trust should be. Thanks

I only have a several decades of experience in coin collecting--US modern as a specialty. I will be the first to tell you I'm not an established coin dealer, I don't work for PCGS or Coin World. I do have a few dozen Lincoln Memorial cents which look very close to yours--appearance of having a ground down (or filed) surface which removed much of the copper layer, thus exposing the zinc. These coins do feel lighter than those Zincolns which have their full copper layer. Is your coin the same diameter as a Roosevelt dime? Please post a side-by-side photo--your coin and a Roosevelt dime. I'm not seeing IGWT (that found on a dime). I'm also not seeing a suggestion of Roosevelt's head/face/bust. I could be wrong.

The coin is a bit bigger in diameter than a dime and a bit smaller than a penny. Rim is unaffected, no grinding or whatever happened to the coin

Quote: no grinding or whatever happened to the coin Maybe YOU didn't use a grinder on this cent, but somebody did!

I agree, just hoping it was the 1 in a million exception. Worst thing I've ever done to a penny was abandoned it because it seemed inconsequential
