Although this is a known medal, no images are available.
I have searched high and low and cannot find another image of one except for that of mine.
If it is so rare, how can I protect my images from getting misused other than to watermark it like I have done here.
To be honest, I'd really like to get some kind of recognition for my medal find and pictures I took. Not as much for my own ego, but to prevent somebody else from stealing my find.

Technically, your image is protected by copyright laws. However, holders of copyright have to take action if they find any violation of the copyright. It does not protect itself.

Have you contacted a reputable exonumia dealer for an evaluation?

Thank you very much for the replies.
Any suggestions as to which exonumia dealer I could contact?
I just wrote to Jeff Shevlin, so-called dollar dot com.
He will probably get back to me.

I did some thinking since posting, and by date and post anywhere by me would validate the earliest images of my particular photos. I don't have a super valuable medal and I'm sure it isn't the only one of these out there. There could be hundreds but I have a feeling there are 200 or less minted because of the information given on the Paul Revere American Commemorative Society so-called dollar HK-506.
I have one and have seen more than a few of those, but the mintage for them is 200-250 no more.
I have a feeling there are considerably less of these minted for Charles E. Smith of Boston simply because no others can be found by me.
At least I have the medal. It's just that I'd like to be the guy who posted it first with full images so I can pound my chest and blow my horn.

I'm just going to take out the watermarked image and replace it. We'll see what happens with this.

Google "exonumia dealers - US" and go from there. Most of these dealers will have their own websites, but you may have to Google them separately. Simply e-mail any of them with your images (both sides) and the diameter in mm.

You could also try http://www.coinappraiser.com - they may be able to give you a quick answer. This is a Dave Bowers site, quite up-and-up.
