In another thread I talked about how I went to the bank to pick up dollar coins and they handed me a ton of SBAs in yellowed coin wrappers. All of them turned out to be 1979 P and toned.

Yesterday I went back and picked up the rest of them. This time a teller was there who knew the story. Apparently, and sadly, someone's father recently passed away and the family found these rolls and cashed them in at the bank. I think I searched through half of them last time and didn't find anything crazy. No wide rims, but some lower mint state I believe.

Here's pictures of the final 10 rolls. Do you guys think they've been in wrappers for decades? It seems like they were machined rolled from another bank or maybe the mint? Also, should I open them, sell them as is, or keep them?

They look like original rolls from 1979 to me. It seems like only yesterday. When you get old time flies. I could see a fellow putting away rolls like this and letting them be. there still might be a wide rim in there. Who knows?
If there is a MS67 or 68 in the lot, that would be neat. Otherwise, I don't see much value over face. Might get a buyer if you sold the rolls unopened at a premium. No real advice but a neat catch from the bank.

I'd open them, pick out anything that might be interesting, then have some fun and spend the rest and report my adventures here.

I'm too inquisitive, so I would have to go through them.

Open and examine is what I'd do.
