Hi All,
I've had this 14D for over 40yrs and never noticed this reverse. Can you all give me some input...why are lamination's some times sought after? I see some crazy (to me) prices on em...they kind of just look like damaged coins...I've gone through all my rolls of LWC's and have almost 2 tubes w/lams...
So this 14D...good thing or bad?
Sure do look fwd to your replies...Thanks for taking the time to view/reply!!

Yes, it is a lamination issue that you have there. That is a cent I would dearly love add to the collection some day.

As you are seeing, error collecting of US coins is much more popular than other countries. I personally think that they are kinda neat, but not so much that I'd want to pay much of a premium.

Must agree. They are disfiguring to me, and detract from the value of this otherwise choice coin.

Interest in lams are in the eye of the beholder, plus not all lams are created equally. Some lams are elaborate while others are relatively minor. The lam on your coin falls somewhere in the middle (how's that for a wishy-washy answer? ). I'd say if you have a couple rolls of lams and they're of no real interest to you, sell 'em!

to the CFF!

I like lams and it doesn't stop me from liking this coin. From what I've heard, the grading companies (all?) treat lams negatively with a details designation.

Most collectors want problem free coins. It will probably detract from the overall appeal and value.
