Of course one of the oldest Jefferson nickels from San Fran I have found out in the wild, wife's pocket change. I am like a magnet for this type of coin. At least it was not another War Nickel.

That nickel has served its country well the past 52 years. Needs to be put out of its misery and melted down and made into a new nickel or 2x2'd and allowed to live out its remaining days in an album.

It's earned its retirement!

at least the War Nickel has a little value , that 68-S is worth 5¢ .
