New To Coin Collecting Found This Coin (1927 Cent) Not Sure What It Is.

Gnaylor5 New Member Canada 7 Posts	Posted 07/15/2020 5:33 pm Appears to be a 1927 Wheat penny. Looks like it's copper Cortes sink penny. Obverse is copper color and reverse is zink color. The struck on both sides seam very week as you can only see a gain 27 on the date. The coin weighs 2.9g.. Report this Post to the Staff

Second, I agree with @coop that this coin is severely damaged: in addition to heavy circulation wear, there are large gouges on Abe's shoulder and cheek. The odd color on the reverse is most likely from an electroplating experiment.
