Good Morning,

I wanted to see if I could get some assistance on (4) 1954S Nickels that I have. I had purchased a roll of these coins and while going through them discovered an "O" die clash. I sent the coins off to CONECA and had them attributed and confirmed. All four coins I have comparing to PCGS should grade between MS62 - MS66. However I have been searching all over the internet, forums, ebay, Facebook, PCGS, heritage auctions, variety vista, Wexler and can't find any 1954S nickels with a die clash or like mine to determine value. Is this one of those since they are rare discovery they could potentially command a premium? Any help you could provide would be great and thank you for your time and attention in this matter, photos attached.

Although a good die clash, it is very soft and faint.IMO it would still carry a relatively minor premium.

Thanks Chase007, is there any way to help to determine the value or what this may command or since its a minor premium best to just hold onto for the cool factor?

Value ultimately is determined by what the market place will bring. Since the clash appears somewhat soft/faint (and localized), it's my opinion the coin won't yield near enough for a hefty down payment on a 2015 Ford Escape.

LOL, I did not think It would be anywhere in the thousands, but maybe hundred range just trying to see if it may be worth grading or just list as is, I have 4 and just submitted to have it added to mad die clashes after speaking with blue ridge silver hound and check my coin folks.

You've got 4 of them. List one on ebay and see what you get.

Die clashes, unless extremely strong like that 2000 nickel, do not draw much interest or attention because they are too common. Unless you can find someone putting together a full date and mint set ALL with die clashes, you are probably looking at a premium of a dollar or two.

A dollar or two is a dollar or two.

If you want to find out, check sold listing on ebay, and / or list one. Just have really good pictures and description.

Still pretty cool.

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for you r feedback, we are planning on listing one on ebay. Like you said just checking around right now and seeing what normal comps go for so I'm not overpricing and just let the bids do what they do from there.

Post the link to the listing here, so we can track the progression as well. Curious to see what it goes for.
