Asking for a friend, as I am not a currency collector. What kind of premium would this note get? It is missing most of the green seal in "FIVE." The bills condition is almost CU.

Not sure if this would be insufficient ink or an obstructed printing. I'll let smarter people comment on value.

Looks legit by the photos. I would call it an obstructed overprint. The note itself is in good shape with minor handling marks. I would value it it between $100 - $200 to the right buyer. Nice error note.

Cool note! How did your friend find it (if you know)?

Thanks to all who responded, I appreciate that! My friend received this note in circulation. He is not a collector of bills or coins, but he asked me knowing I was a coin collector. I reached out to the CCF for help since my knowledge of currency is little. Thanks again for all your help!

Terrific friend who would be a in my books. Very lightly circulated for a 2003 issue. Great find (congrats!)
