My son gifted this to me, I noticed the rim Cud?, I think. It is
beside a die crack and the edge of the A in BANK has a layer of
raised metal. Let me know what you think.

Maybe? a tiny lamination / planchet crack, where
the appearance has been modified by corrosion within the crack.

A die crack and then a chunk of the working die broke off at the edge of the crack.

REV shows planchet flaw near the rosette,

I believe the anomaly at the die crack area on the OBV is a Cud and not a broken die / die chip. Only because if it were a die chip there would be more of them, and although I am not an expert I have handled "a few" and seen a "few more" of this series, and haven't seen another like it (die crack yes, large die chip at that location NO).

Interesting piece, but at VG10-F12 no real value ($10-$15)

A Cud is a die crack where the edge of the deep crack has broken off and looks like a glob when struck again. Cuds start as die cracks until a piece breaks off.

Looks like a late die state of Courteau #238.
