Never assume someone isn't going to accept your VERY LOW ball offer. He accepted it 2 hours after I snagged #1 I never figured this guy was going to come down that much, but a deal is a deal I guess, so I have 2 of these.

Looks like a touch of handling on the cheek. I'd be at MS-64, a strong MS-64, for this one.

I'd say MS-65. Agree with a very late die state of VAM-6, with significant die sinking and die cracks.

I'll go with MS-65, but could see why someone would say MS-64.

reverse strike a tad weak for this year but nice eye appeal. luster broken across cheek and the contact marks on the obverse may keep this one in the MS64 box

Quote: Agree with a very late die state of VAM-6, with significant die sinking and die cracks. Just came today and I ran it under the microscope to see if I could confirm VAM-6 It looks like a strong argument. What do you guys think? Using http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.c...1886-P_VAM-6as a reference, I shot these. Roughness Wing-Neck Gap The reverse has a curious bump in the die under the A of DOLLAR. "Railroad tracks" clashing from wing to "n" Die crack date with die sinking near denticles. This specific die crack from the 1 to the point of the neck is a key diagnostic: Die break star with closeup of die sinking: Clash mark at neck with no visible transferred lettering: Reverse die sinking near denticles: Die break through cap and in to the field:

I wasn't even supposed to get this coin, if you look back up, I had already purchased an identical coin, but I saw this guy had this listed at $365 and I shot him an offer of $210 and never thought he would take it. I didn't hear anything so I got the other one. Then he sent an invoice lol, now I have 2
I'll have to go back and look for the total.
