i have no idea what it is or exactly where it's from, my best guess is that it's asian (china?), hopefully a more knowledgable ccf member knows what this is & can elaborate!    a speck of road rash & a nasty scrape on the reverse, but otherwise in decent shape.

thanks, Grape, you got my mind stirred up enough that (i think) I was able to identify it: 1 yuan, Taiwan, though I don't know the date. I found a stock photo, hopefully I've solved the mystery...

TNG, it rained just before I went out last night, so I only found eighty-six cents, plus that taiwan coin. coins can be difficult to detect on wet pavement.

The date on the coin is Year 99 of the Republic, which would convert to AD 2010.
