First post here other than the where ya from introduction. I know that this isn't some kind of crazy valuable coin. If I understand correctly this thread is for grading practice, so I wouldn't think the value of a coin would be pertinent. Honestly, this is my first post of a coin too. I am just as much interested in what you think of the quality of the picture as of the grade of the coin.

This is considered to be a little bit above average for a coin minted in the 1940's

Photo quality is excellent . Coin is AU-58 but I'm wondering about all the whiteish spots on reverse .Did you try to clean this coin in any way ? Obverse also looks like it was wizzed .

I will check out VarietyVista.com. Thank you for the suggestion.
As for the white spots. I haven't cleaned the coin other than wiping it down with a lint free cloth. I removed the coin from a standard cardboard 2x2 that the coin had been in for decades. I wanted to put the coin in a HE Harris Snap Lock, which ironically is worth just as much as the coin, but the coin was just too "pretty" for a cardboard 2x2. Without magnification the white spots really just look like a fingerprint. Would you think there is any chance the plastic window from the 1980's 2x2 had started to break down, flake, whatever, and transferred to the coin?

Looks like a nice coin, I can see the cartwheel spokes. There's hardly a hit on it but the spots hold it back.

with T-Bop. You can see parallel lines faintly across President Lincoln's effigy. Quote: Would you think there is any chance the plastic window from the 1980's 2x2 had started to break down, flake, whatever, and transferred to the coin? No. The mylar windows are coin safe
